Threaded Rods

A threaded rod, also known as a stud, is a relatively long rod that is threaded on both ends; the thread may extend along the complete length of the rod. They are designed to be used in tension. Threaded rod in bar stock form is often called all-thread.

A U-bolt is a bolt in the shape of the letter U with screw threads on both ends. U-bolts have primarily been used to support pipework, pipes which fluids and gasses pass through. As such, U-bolts were measured using pipe work engineering. A U-bolt would be described by the size of pipe it was supporting.

Threaded rods can be used for in many industries for many different applications.
