FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between screws, bolts and studs?
Basically, the difference between a cap screw and a bolt is the way in which these fasteners are installed. Technically, a bolt is installed by turning a nut to tighten the fastener, while a cap screw in installed by turning the head of the bolt to assemble and tighten.

Bolts and screws are both Building Fasteners that help to position objects and hold them together.  Some examples of screws are Headcote Screws, Heavy Hex Screws and Hex Cap Screws, examples of bolts are Heavy Hex Bolts.
